These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Zeffyr LLC, a California limited liability company ("Zeffyr," "we," "our," or "us"), governing your use of our mobile apps, our website at zeffyr.app, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, responding to an invitation, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@zeffyr.app if you suspect unauthorized use. You may sign in using a third-party login (such as Apple or Google); your use of those services is subject to their terms.
You may respond to an event invitation as a guest without creating an account. When you do, you are still bound by these Terms. Information you submit when you RSVP (such as your name and any contact details) will be shared with the event's host as described in our Privacy Policy.
Zeffyr is a platform that lets users discover, create, host, promote, and RSVP to events and connect with one another. Zeffyr does not itself organize, host, sponsor, endorse, or verify events, venues, or users, and is not a party to any interaction, agreement, or event between users. Events and event details are created and controlled by the users who post them. We do not guarantee that any event will take place, that any information about an event is accurate, or that any host or attendee is who they claim to be.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for your decisions to attend, host, or participate in any event. We do not conduct background checks on users or hosts. Use good judgment and take normal safety precautions when communicating with others and when attending events, including events in private homes or unfamiliar locations. You assume all risks associated with using the Service and attending events. If you feel unsafe, contact local emergency services or law enforcement.
If you create or host an event, you are responsible for the event and its content, for complying with all applicable laws (including any permits, licenses, age restrictions, and tax obligations), and for how you collect and use the information of people who RSVP. You must honor the representations you make to your guests and use guest information only for the event for which it was shared.

We may investigate and take action — including removing content, limiting features, or suspending or terminating accounts — for any violation of these Terms.
"User Content" means anything you submit through the Service, including events, flyers, photos, profile details, and messages. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Zeffyr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for example, to resize images or extract event details), display, and distribute your User Content as needed to operate and provide the Service. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any third party's rights.
You are responsible for your User Content. We do not endorse and are not responsible for User Content posted by users. We may, but are not obligated to, review, moderate, or remove User Content at our discretion.
The Service provides tools to report inappropriate content or behavior. We may review reports and take action we consider appropriate. If you believe content infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact us at hello@zeffyr.app with details so we can respond.
Some features use automated processing and AI — for example, reading uploaded event flyers to extract details. These features may produce inaccurate results; you are responsible for reviewing and correcting event details before publishing. See our Privacy Policy for how this works.
The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will disclose the applicable terms and pricing before you incur any charge.
The Service, including its software, design, and the Zeffyr name and logo, is owned by Zeffyr and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for your User Content and the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
The Service relies on and may link to third-party services (such as Apple, Google, and mapping providers). Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
If you download our app from a third-party app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), you also agree to that store's terms. With respect to the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Zeffyr, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we believe it is necessary to protect the Service or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content-license terms for content already shared, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT INFORMATION (INCLUDING EVENT DETAILS OR USER PROFILES) WILL BE ACCURATE, OR THAT ANY EVENT WILL OCCUR AS DESCRIBED. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE AND ATTENDANCE AT ANY EVENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZEFFYR AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, ANY INTERACTION WITH OTHER USERS, OR ANY EVENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zeffyr and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Service, your events or interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
