FANGS Screening

Join us on October 30, 2026 at 8pm for a special halloween screening of FANGS (ANYAB) in Los Angeles at Scribble, hosted by Mizna. For more than twenty-five years, Mizna has promoted contemporary and experimental approaches to art, literature, and film; work that questions and expands the forms and conceptual frameworks of Arab and SWANA culture. Mizna publishes a biannual print literary and art journal, Mizna, and produces the Twin Cities Arab Film Festival, the largest and longest-running SWANA-centered film festival in the Midwest. Mohammed Shebl’s 1981 adaptation of isn’t just a cult classic, Anyab (Fangs) is an astute commentary on the Egyptian socio-political climate all wrapped up in disco, glam and vampire fangs!
