Join the City of Costa Mesa for an educational walk with Dr. Tanya Hoerer, Professor of Organismal Biology and Marine Science Join us for a morning with Dr. Tanya Hoerer, who has been conducting research with her students on native bees at Fairview Park for the last couple of years! California has approximatley 1,600 native bee species, some of which nest and forage in Orange County and Fairview Park. Join us for an educational event to learn about these species and their importance. We will be starting with time to observe display items, including research posters that the students have completed. After, we will walk to areas of interest such as foraging or nesting spots. Wear comfortable shoes, sun protection, and bring water as this event will include a walking tour. Please fill out this waiver before attending the event.
