Spooky Season Swap Series

Join us for our upcoming swap parties! Find details and themes below Got good stuff you’re ready to pass along? Looking for something new without buying something new? Join us at The Lyric Hyperion throughout October for a series of community swaps designed to help useful, creative, weird, wonderful things find their next home. Bring what you no longer need, take what speaks to you, meet some new people, and stick around for the other programming happening throughout the day. Our swaps are built around mutual aid, resource sharing, sustainability, and the radical idea that not everything useful needs to be bought and sold. Saturday, October 17 | Game Swap & Play Bring board games, video games, card games, puzzles, party games, and more. Swap out the games collecting dust at home and find something new to play and jump right into to test out your new finds with some new friends! Sunday, October 18 | Art Supplies Swap & Make Got paint you never use? An extra sketchbook? Yarn, markers, collage materials, fabric, brushes, beads, tools, craft kits, or the remnants of a creative project you’ve moved on from? Bring your extra supplies, pick up some new inspiration, and make something on the spot with your fellow makers Sunday, October 25 | Plus Size Clothing Swap Calling all Fat Babes of LA! This is our moment. Bring clean, gently worn clothing size XL and up, along with shoes and accessories you’re ready to pass on. Come find something that makes you feel great and help give good clothes a longer life. Saturday, October 26 | (Everything But the) Kitchen Sink Swap This is the catch-all. Bring clothing and accessories, home goods, decor, useful objects, unopened supplies, odd little treasures, and all the perfectly good things that don’t quite fit into another swap category. If you’d happily give it to a friend, bring it along. Upcoming Swaps (Dates TBD) Book Swap Finished a book you loved, hated, or are simply ready to release back into the world? Bring books you’re ready to pass along and leave with something new to read. Fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, cookbooks, art books, zines, and more are welcome. Got an Idea for a swap? Send it our way! Email Hello@ontaskbehaviour.com These events are part of our nonprofit's with Lyric Hyperion, helping us reconnect with the LA community while raising resources toward securing a new base of operations in Los Angeles. Come swap something, find something, meet someone, and help us keep good stuff in circulation.
