Short Film Showoffs

A gathering where we share short films both old and new. What is Short Film Showoffs? This is not a normal open screening. This is a gathering where we explore this under-explored world by sharing shorts both old and new, including films we found online and films we made ourselves. You can watch with us for just $5 OR you can attend for FREE as long as you do one important thing, BRING A SHORT FILM (15 min. or less). It does not have to be one you made. You can find one on Youtube or Vimeo or Short of The Week or send a digital file . We don't care where you get it, we just want to see all the cool short films we can. Bring a short you love , that says something about the kind of cinema you love. This is a chance to express yourself via other people's work OR YOUR OWN. You can also bring one of your own shorts to share and get the experience of an audience's reaction to your film. There will surely be a wide variety of films, new and old, experimental and narrative. Now featuring Compulsive Creations , where a selected indie filmmaker is given a prompt chosen by our audience and a month to make a film. Upcoming Compulsive Creators: Screening Oct. 10 - Amylin Alma jones (Prompt - Scream) Screening Oct. 24 - Julianna Schley (Prompt - Lick) Places to find shorts: https://www.shortoftheweek.com/ https://www.youtube.com/WatchALTER https://vimeo.com/channels/130583 https://366weirdmovies.com/category/shorts/
