"10th Anniversary Visitor Favorites" at the Hilbert Museum

Visitors become the guest curators in this special exhibition honoring the Hilbert Museum's 10th Anniversary! As the Hilbert Museum marks its tenth anniversary, visitors become the guest curators in this special exhibition featuring artworks selected from thousands of comments in visitor books and online reviews. The exhibition reunites many of the museum's most beloved paintings and illustrations by artists including Millard Sheets, Emil Kosa Jr., Milford Zornes, Henrietta Berk, Dong Kingman, Frank Romero, Emigdio Vasquez, Burr Singer, Ernie Barnes Jr., and many others. Curated by Museum Director Mary Platt, the exhibition celebrates the extraordinary range of California art that has captivated audiences since the museum first opened its doors in 2016. This exhibition is supported by a generous grant from the Traditional Fine Arts Organization.
