Diablo Symphony Concert 'Northern Spirits' with Pianist Leyla Kabuli

The Diablo Symphony opens its 2026-2027 season, "Breathe," on Sunday, October 25, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lesher Center for the Arts. Celebrating the resilience of the human spirit, the program includes Jean Sibelius's Symphony No. 2 and Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 1 with award-winning pianist Leyla Kabuli (also a PhD candidate in electrical engineering and computer sciences at UC Berkeley). In contrast, Carlos Simon's meditative piece "Breathe" (written, in the composer's words, to encourage listeners "to simply reflect and breathe") opens the concert. It's not too late to save with a five-concert subscription! Find season details and a link to the Lesher Center subscription page by visiting the DSO's website at www.diablosymphony.org. Adults $45, Youth 13-17 $15, Children 12 and under free; discount of $35 each for groups of 10+ Seniors. Presented by Diablo Symphony Association
