Unite intuition & reason for better decisions, and see AI and complementarity in a new light with Dr. Howard Teich, holograms and live harp. The Ecology of Intelligence: Archetypal Wisdom in the Age of AI A free live event with Dr. Howard Teich, featuring live harp and interactive holograms Have you ever reasoned your way to a decision that still felt wrong? Or brushed off a gut feeling because you couldn't explain it? One of the leading AI companies names its models after the sky. Luna, the moon, is the fast, low-cost option. Terra, the earth, is the everyday workhorse. Sol, the sun, was the flagship until Astra, the stars, arrived above it. Each new model reaches a little higher. It's a perfect picture of how our culture defines intelligence: faster, stronger, always racing to the top. But what if that's only half the story? Long before modern science, the alchemists used the sun, moon, and earth as symbols for how a person becomes whole. Carl Jung saw a profound truth in their work. Each of us has a "sun" side that analyzes, plans, and acts, and a "moon" side that feels, imagines, and senses what's coming. These aren't male or female traits. They belong to everyone. Our culture celebrates the sun and dismisses the moon as weakness. The alchemists knew better: the real gold appears when both work as equal partners, grounded in everyday life. What you'll walk away with From "Star Wars" to "Love Wars" Most of the stories we tell are "Star Wars" stories: one side wins by defeating the other, and only one can stand at the top. Dr. Teich points to a different story, which he calls "Love Wars," where the real challenge is bringing opposites together rather than destroying one. It may be the most important conversation we can have right now, about ourselves and about the machines we're building. An immersive experience This isn't a typical lecture. Harpist and vocalist Helane Marie Anderson performs live, while visual artist Moe Angelo of Lightbrush brings the ideas to life with immersive visuals and interactive holograms you can engage with directly. Come to reflect, explore, and experience these ideas, not just hear them. About Dr. Howard Teich For more than fifty years, Dr. Howard Teich has worked with Jungian psychology, mythology, and neuroscience meet. Trained in Jungian analysis by Joseph Henderson and John Beebe, he has taught at UC Berkeley, the California Institute of Integral Studies, and the Esalen Institute. He created the PACE Profile, a personality assessment originally developed for Apple and later used by Microsoft, Intel, and Wells Fargo. He is the author of Solar Light, Lunar Light: Perspectives in Human Consciousness . Who it's for Whether you build technology, use it every day, or simply wonder what it's doing to us, this event is for you. No background in Jung, alchemy, or AI is needed. Just curiosity about yourself and the future we're creating together.
