Join Bay Area leaders and community members for a screening of a new film by Not In Our Town How can our communities stand together when our neighbors are threatened? As ICE operations spread fear and danger in the Twin Cities, Minnesotans showed the power of kindness, courage and community-wide peaceful actions as they united with their immigrant neighbors. Their stories provide inspiration and guidance for communities everywhere. A new film by Not In Our Town profiling the active nonviolence and force of Minnesota immigrants and neighbors standing together during the ICE surge of 2026. Screening followed by discussion with the film team and local leaders. Tickets are required. Admission is free with a suggested donation minimum of $10 . Donate through GivelyLively . The film is being presented in communities across the US during United Against Hate Week , an annual week of action launched in the Bay Area in 2018. Not In Our Town is a national nonprofit media and community engagement organization based in Oakland, CA. For thirty years, NIOT has produced public television films and resources and provided guidance to hundreds of cities, towns, and schools across the U.S. that are seeking to prevent hate and bias and cultivate belonging. NIOT serves a national network of communities and schools and presents over 100 free short films and guides on NIOT.org . From the Not In Our Town Filmmaking Team: The overwhelming love in the face of cruelty and violence convinced the Not In Our Town team to document responses to the Minnesota ICE Surge in early 2026. We hope Americans across the country find inspiration in the stories of ordinary people who banded together as their neighbors, their town, and their country faced a dire threat.
