Hillside Club bluegrass jam: "light and dark"

Open to musicians of all levels. Everyone is welcome to listen or play. Join us for a bluegrass jam at the Hillside Club! With the light of summer retreating into the darkness of winter, the October theme will be “Light and Dark”. We encourage you to call songs with the jam theme (interpret the theme as you like!). And of course, all other bluegrass tunes are welcome as well. The jam is free, and there are three rooms for jamming. If there is interest, the slow jam will be in the green room (by the stage). BYOB (beer and wine allowed; please no hard alcohol or spirits). This is an appoximately-monthly event. A word about song selection: We encourage folks to choose songs from the bluegrass canon. If you decide not to, it’s best to choose a song that has no more than 4 chords (to avoid jam busters), and be prepared to take a moment to briefly teach the song if necessary.
