By the Banks by Christina Michelle Watkins

Sistah Scifi highlights Christina Michelle Watkins’ By the Banks at the 2026 Bay Area Playwrights Festival in San Francisco. Sistah Scifi is highlighting this event for our community, but tickets are managed directly by the Bay Area Playwrights Festival / Playwrights Foundation. Selected as one of just four plays from more than 600 submissions, By the Banks is a story of family, memory, grief, freedom, and the forces—both human and elemental—that surface when the past refuses to stay buried.
